Ashraful, Nayeem and Dhiman shine on the opening day of NCL

Ashraful played a come back innings for Dhaka Metropolis on the opening day of NCL. He was out of the cricketing scene for quite some time but still he played a classy manner and reached his century in flying colors. Dhaka Metropolis lost their openers early against Chittagong Division. Shamsur Rahman yet again failed to perform like as if cricket is not for him. But Mehrab Hossain Jr and Ashraful played a steadied innings, Mehrab on the other side played a patient knock for his side as both of them stood tall.

Hundreds of years of Naeem Islam and Dhiman Ghosh guided Rangpur Division to a flying start against Khulna Division in the primary day of nineteenth version of Walton SMART FRIDGE National Cricket League (NCL).

Rangpur Division finished the main day on 325 for 6 of every 87.3 overs. Dhiman Ghosh was rejected in the last chunk of the day in the wake of scoring 105. Naeem remained not out on 120. Alamin Hossain and captain Abdur Razzak both grabbed 3 wickets for Khulna Division.

Other match of Tier 1 between Dhaka Division and Barisal Division was surrendered because of wet outfield.

Mohammad Ashraful's century put Dhaka Metro in the driving seat against Chittagong Division in Tier 2. Toward the finish of the main day, Dhaka Metro posted 257 for 5 out of 90 overs. Mehrab Jr. not out on 65. Mehedi Hasan and Shakhawat asserted 2 wickets each.

At Rajshahi, Match was deferred because of wet outfield. Before umpires canceled the day's play, Sylhet Division were 112/7 of every 56.2 overs against Rajshahi Division. Imtiaz Hossain scored the most noteworthy 38 while Muktar Ali, Saqlain Sajib and Forhad Reza all packed away 2 wickets each.
