Bangladesh Under 19 team reach the finals of Under 19 world Cup

Bangladesh under 19 team reached the finals of the world cup for the very first time, defeated New Zealand convincingly. The match started with a lot of hype as Bangladesh played in the semis in the 2016 world cup but could not reach the finals. The  Bangladeshi bowlers were pretty good in their approach, they did not give away much runs in the 40 overs. The spinners bowled in tandem and did not let New Zealand batters make runs. In the last 10 overs New Zealand batters were attacking against the Bangladeshi bowlers and eventually bowlers lost a bit of rhythm. Shoriful chipped in with three wickets but leaked plenty of runs in his last two overs.

New Zealand started their bowling with great intent and the Bangladeshi bowlers could not make much runs. Tawhid came with a flow by making 40 runs but lost his wicket. Then Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Shahdat made a 100 run partnership to steady the ship. Mahmudul Hasan marched on with his bat and eventually made a century in this match. This was a prestigious knock for him and Bangladesh. In the end Bangladesh won the match by 6 wickets.

Bangladesh will play against India in the final of the under 19 world cup. This is the first time Bangladesh have reached the finals in an ICC event.
